Main Responsibilities

  • Ensure continuous customer satisfaction by offering personal, courteous and specialized customer service to our clients;
  • Support and guide clients on products sold on Altitude-sports.com according to their needs (by phone, email or chat);
  • Assist clients with their online purchases and orders;
  • Proceed with reimbursements when needed;
  • Follow-up on orders with our warehouse team and answer all related questions;
  • Process returns and handle guarantee requests;
  • Perform other related tasks as needed.

Requirements

  • Have experience in a customer service role;
  • Be bilingual (French/English), verbally and in writing;
  • Have polite and professional communication skills;
  • Be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously;
  • Be able to work with various technology platforms;
  • Be able to manage stress efficiently;
  • Be punctual;
  • Have an interest and knowledge in outdoor gear and products (an asset).

Availabilities

  • Part-time (minimum 24h per week) or, full-time (40h per week)
  • Day, evening and weekend shifts available,
  • Possibility of permanence upon completion of contract.

Head of Tech Direction

The Head of Tech Direction will be responsible for defining Altitude Sports’ technological vision.

Permanent, full-time position.

Job Description

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer (COO), the Head of Tech Direction will be responsible for defining the technological vision of  both Altitude-sports.com and TheLastHunt.com platforms. You will be mandated to enabling a smooth transition to a domain-driven, service-oriented, scalable, responsive and secure architecture . You will also sponsor continuous integration and delivery. This role will be central when it comes to decision-making pertaining to software architecture, technology choices and technology direction. Through a growing team of engineers, you will acquire, design and rollout cutting edge software solutions. The chosen candidate will also help grow the technology team while streamlining the delivery process and software development life cycle.

 Main Responsibilities

  • Work with the tech team to establish the company’s technical vision;
  • Lead the transition towards a service oriented architecture; 
  • Elaborate and rollout a strategy to ensure that the chosen or developed systems are at the forefront of the latest technologies and yield competitive advantage;
  • Conduct architectural reviews, propose solutions, ensure the designs meet requirements of quality, security, modifiability, extensibility, and conform to our development standards; 
  • Ensure the robustness of the architecture, codebase and infrastructure;
  • Design data models for high volume data management, real-time and distributed data processing, that aligns with business processes;
  • Contribute to the definition of standards across the department and evangelize them through effective communication;
  • Layout a strategy to contain and optimize infrastructure fees.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field; 
  • Master’s degree, an asset;
  • 10  years experience designing and building software applications in various languages (Nodejs, PHP, C#, Java, Python,  etc.);
  • 5 years experience with microservice architecture;
  • Proficiency with Cloud (AWS/GCP), an asset;
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in both English and French;
  • Ability to influence and drive change;
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and master frequently changing web technologies and techniques.

Product Director

Job Description

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer , the chosen candidate will ensure that the company’s overall strategy and goals are supported by the family of digital Products he/she is spearheading. This is inclusive of gathering and prioritizing requirements for the product, defining the vision for the product, and collaborating with other directors from the engineering, marketing, sales, and operations departments in order to ensure that the financial and consumer satisfaction goals are met.

The ideal candidate will grow a team of Product Managers, and have matrixed management of a team of developers, UX designers and business stakeholders, the Director of Product Management as well as his/her team. He/she will act as the voice of our customers, managing an ambitious roadmap, and leading the execution of all product initiatives to ensure the delivery of a world-class shopping experience. As this is a new department within the company, the Director will have the opportunity to act as a founding member and develop the internal framework as well as its surrounding team. 

Main Responsibilities

  • Define the vision and strategy of the product team he/she will be nurturing;
  • Layout the foundation of a product driven organization;
  • Actively hire and develop a team of high performing Product Managers;
  • Directly and indirectly manage a growing team of tech leads, product managers, product owners and UX designers structured in squads;
  • Lead Product Managers and internal partners (engineering, design) through the end-to-end implementation of Products and features;
  • Develop a metric driven decision making process within the technology and product teams;
  • Manage and provide visibility to the executive team on the Product roadmap and achievements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or a related field;
  • MBA from a leading academic institution big asset;
  • A minimum of 5 years relevant e-commerce work experience in software development;
  • Hands on experience in Agile SDLC;
  • Strong English and French written and verbal communication skills.
